Holiday with your dog

Take your dog on holiday

Dog friendly things to do at Logie Newton

Logie Newton Farm is dog friendly. Bring your beloved dog along for the adventure and explore our scenic farm tracks together. With ample space to roam and endless outdoor activities in the local area, your pup will have just as much fun as you do!

As we are a working farm, we request that dogs are kept on leads at all times. For those moments when your furry friend wants to stretch their legs, we offer an enclosed dog park on the farm that can be booked for free by guests. Here, your pooch can roam freely and sniff out all the interesting smells in a secure environment.

At Logie Newton, we welcome all well-behaved dogs (a max of 2 per lodge) with a special doggy hamper, which includes:

  • Water and food bowls
  • Throws so you can snuggle up together to enjoy the views
  • Towels to dry off after their farm adventures
  • Treats to thank them for their good behaviour
  • Biodegradable poo bags
  • Dog shampoo and spray to keep them smelling sweet
  • Electronic copy of our guest guidebook which includes our Ozzie's Pawsome Picks Guide

Dogs can have as much fun as they wish on the farm and, upon returning to the lodge, they will have access to their own wash bay to rinse off.

For added convenience, our lodge partner, Hooves and Paws, can assist with dog walking and house sitting if guests wish to explore the area pet-free.

A pawsome place to stay

“Cooper had the best time and loved his welcome hamper”

We love going to a lodge with our dog for a weekend away and Logie Newton has been by far our favourite. Our host Louise has thought of everything and we felt so welcomed from the minute we arrived (or even before since the pre arrival information was so helpful). The location is perfect and everything about the lodge was peaceful and exactly what we needed. Our dog Cooper had the best time and loved his welcome hamper - he was well looked after, and the outdoor hose area was really useful to keep him clean.

“there was a welcome basket there containing treats, shampoo, a lovely smelling spray, a super dry towel, and bowls were also provided”

We were lucky enough to stay in the larger lodge, the Woodland Lodge, for a few days last week. It is finished to a very high standard with great attention to detail. We had our wee dog with us, and there was a welcome basket there containing treats, shampoo, a lovely smelling spray, a super dry towel, and bowls were also provided. The kitchen is well equipped and the whole place was immaculate....we were honoured to be the first paying guests at the Woodland Lodge. We would all recommend a stay here. 10/10, a super build and a superior stay.
