Our commitment to luxury extends to our equine guests, ensuring they receive the finest care and amenities and an exceptional equestrian retreat.
Explore our farm tracks on horseback, with grass field margins and woodland trails available for unforgettable hacks (the early morning spring birdsong in the peaceful surroundings has to be experienced to be believed!).
Please note: Our equine facilities are available from April to September.
Outside of this period, please contact us to arrange horse accommodation and please note that tracks and fields may not be accessible. Our location remains an excellent choice for autumn and winter stays, especially for those competing in the area.
Equine facilities and supplies
- Access to over 10km of grass tracks around our 750 acre farm.
- Individual post and rail fenced grass paddocks (20x40m) in front of the lodges, providing a private space for horses to unwind.
- Fully-equipped stable block (4 stables) with access to a secure tack room complete with individual lockable tack lockers.
- Welcome pack featuring shavings, a welcome guide, and delectable horse treats.
- Ample parking for horseboxes.
- Complimentary mucking out tools.
- Onsite supplies such as hay, haylage, and bedding are available for purchase.
- Hard feed available to purchase by prior arrangement.
Box up and go
Embark on off-site horse adventures with ease:
- Enjoy cross-country training at Team Padfield, The Southside Ride and Ardmedden.
- Explore forestry commission trails including hacks around Bennachie.
- Attend competitions at the many local equestrian centres in Aberdeenshire including The Cabin, Tillyoch, Ladyleys and Bogenraith Equestrian Centres.
- Discover beach rides such as at Balmedie Beach.
- Traverse Ythan Wells Woods tracks.

The tracks are really well kept and great underfoot - just perfect for walk, trot and canter. There are miles and miles of grassy tracks to explore and you get great views of Bennachie and its fine summits from various angles.

I visited Logie Newton Farm April 2024. I highly recommend visiting with your horses if you get the chance, on arrival we were greeted and guided to our parking space by Louise. After tacking up she explained the safety rules and gave us directions on the route, (though it was clearly signed). After a small section of quiet roadwork you hit the tracks, they are all well prepared and the views are amazing. After some very wet weather and numerous events cancelled I was surprised this group ride went ahead, but the going was great, the ground wasn’t heavy and allowed for some serious fast work on the long hills. Go if you get the opportunity!
